How I run my LOVE and LOGIC Classroom!
Love & Logic Classroom Expectations
I will treat you with respect, so you will know how to treat me.
Feel free to do anything that doesn’t cause a problem for anyone else.
If you cause a problem, I will ask you to solve it.
If you can’t solve the problem or choose not to, I will do something.
What I do, will depend on the special person, and the special situation.
If you feel something is unfair, whisper to me, “I’m not sure that’s fair,” and we will talk.
CONSEQUENCES
Occasionally students have difficulty adhering to classroom expectations. I will give students cues and reminders to get back on task. If the child continues with the behavior the following may occur:
*move student to another place in classroom
*move student to another classroom (Mrs. Insel)
*call parent / e-mail parent
Severe cases may be referred to the office.
HOMEWORK
Homework has a definite place in the educational process. It is an extension of the learning experiences children have during the school day. Homework is designed to help the students in achieving classroom and school goals.
Each Monday, your student will receive their spelling words and homework for the week. Spelling homework is due on Thursday and Spelling Tests are on Friday. Your student will also have math homework. They will begin their homework in class and complete the remaining problems at home. It would be beneficial to your student if you would review this homework with him/her once completed. It is also important for your student to read daily. Your student will have a weekly reading activity that is given on Monday and is due on Friday.
